Williamstown

IMGP8587_3008x2000
City view from the town of Williamstown.

IMGP8605_3008x2000
Jetties everywhere. From St. Kilda, Docklands, Frankston, Mentone and to here, just name it.

IMGP8619_3008x2000
Clear blue skies but not for long, I'm soaking wet by the time I arrived home. Yeah, the weather forecast did said that it going to rain but I didn't listen to it.

IMGP8595_3008x2000
Protecting the town in the good old days.

IMGP8673_3008x2000
Far, far away from home...

IMGP8611_3008x2000
Neatly parked.

IMGP8627_3008x2000
Leaving Port Phillips Bay. The other boats seems dwarf compared to it.

IMGP8687_3008x2000
True to it theme.

IMGP8730_3008x2000
Very tall structure. Even looking at it make me dizzy.

IMGP8719_3008x2000
Fishing??? Definitely not my cup of tea...

IMGP8734_3008x2000
West Gate Bridge, really dangerous to ride bike across it. I learned it the hard way. Strong winds + fast vehicles + lots of massive trucks + view to die for = I can't balanced my bike properly. That will be my first and last time I'm using it with my bike. Really scary at that time. Luckily there is no sudden crosswind.

IMGP8745_3008x2000
Watching ships pass by. Something new for me. BTW, that ship really looks old.

IMGP8772_3008x2000
Now I know what is the function of that small boat, the small boat will assist the huge ship to navigate the narrow river or canal by bumping into it thus will help to control the movement of the huge ship.

IMGP8707_3008x2000
Another one passing by.

IMGP8789_3008x2000
I'm really astound with the shear size of it.

IMGP8811_3008x2000
Barely made it. That ship is really huge. Just a few meters gap separating the ship and the bridge.

IMGP8737_3008x2000
By now, it is starting to rain and there is no shelter in sight. Well, I'm prepared for it. That is a sign for me to return home.

Me... My life...&...

P/s Preparing for the coming semester. I've already selected my topic for my master project and hopefully he will approve it. Just wait & see.

Here's Looking at You

During my visit at Melbourne Zoo previously, I really got hooked up with these particular animal, the meerkat. It is a small mammal and a part member of the mongoose family. These meerkats are so darn adorable. They're cute, tame and playful. If only I could have them as my pet.

IMG_7272_2816x1880
So cute.

IMG_7273_2816x1880
What??? Don't look at me with those eyes...
(Take me home... Take me home... Take me home...)

IMG_7285_2816x1880
I think that the size of it is just a slight bigger than the size of the palm of my hand.

IMG_7292_2816x1880
Meerkats, meerkats, meerkats... They're everywhere.

IMG_7301_2816x1880
Ready to leap.

IMG_7306_2816x1880
Aren't they adorable.

IMG_7311_2816x1880
To Kakja... Kalau nak kidnap bebear tu susah skit sebab besar sangat tapi kalau Adik nak meerkat boleh la diusahakan. Kecik ajer dan boleh sembunyi dalam poket.

P/s I used to have cats when I was young. Now, I really want a cat as a pet but with my hectic schedule, I'm afraid that I can't always be there for her. Hrmm, maybe some other time.

A Day at the Zoo

Melbourne Zoo... I always wanted to go there since the day I arrived but I do not know why I keep on postponing the trip until last Monday. Finally I'm there. Sometimes it is really convenient to use the public transport (need to carry the helmet if I went there by bike) but the downside is the cost (compared with using my bike). But hey, nothing is perfect right??? Something got to give.

IMG_7122_2816x1880
Care to join???

IMG_7128_2816x1880
To the kids besides me, this is not Aslan.

IMG_7446_2816x1880
I think she's hungry.

IMG_7232_2816x1880
I don't think she's asleep.

IMG_7242_2816x1880
This bear is huge. Really huge.

IMG_7216_2816x1880
Can't remember this bird's name.

IMG_7149_2816x1880
Ugly duckling...

IMG_7438_2816x1880
A Mandarin Duck, beautiful isn't it?

IMG_7193_3888x2592
Up close and personal with an Emu.

IMG_7203_3888x2592
I'm sleepy...

IMG_7150_2816x1880
A Tree Kangaroo. Also sleeping. Yeah, it's winter, it's cold and I will also sleep if I got the chance.

IMG_7317_2816x1880
Couldn't be bothered.

IMG_7343_2816x1880
Got their attention.

IMG_7354_2816x1880
Hanging by a moment.

IMG_7390_2816x1880
A Lemur.

IMG_7411_2816x1880
Nice hair.

IMG_7419_2816x1880
Whatcalookingat .

IMG_7433_2816x1880
In deep thought.

IMG_7482_2816x1880
Thank you.

My english class

Remember the British comedy television series, Mind Your Language? About Mr. Brown and his motley crew of foreigners studying English in his class??? I reckon that most of us will remember that series. So now, here I am in one of the English classes that are being offered by the Stonnington Council and the class really resemble the one in the series. Why??? Multicultural peoples. Among my classmates, there is Lena (The Russian beauty), Simmi (The granny from Iran), Lewis from Spain (The only male beside me), Reko (Another granny from Japan), Lily (Tall girl from Germany), Hein (From Sweden if I'm not mistaken), Carla (From Brazil), two girls from China and the list goes on. When the class comprise of peoples all around the world, there tend to be something funny when we tried to learn others people culture.
Among the best British comedies around.

It's been a year already...

IMGP7989_3008x2000
27 of July 2008. Me in Melbourne. One heck of a journey to here.
KLIA - Jakarta - Bali (Stranded for a night) - Melbourne

P/s Why this long route??? This is the only route available for me to reach Melbourne in time for my registration... Bali, really a beautiful place but too bad I didn't got the chances to explore the island. A must visit place in my wish list.
