Salam,

First of all, Selamat Menjalankan Ibadah Puasa. I hope it is not too late for me to wish. Hrmmm, what a roller-coaster ride it has been for me for all this while. I'm right now enjoying my first Ramadhan here after spending nearly 2 years 'down under'. The things that I've gained or do or planning to do so far:

- Wiser (hope so)
- Extra fat (yeah, I'm starting to gain weight lately - Even fasting did not do any good)
- Wasting money entering a fitness club but rarely attending it.
- Saving money for the new PS3 Slim (old habit die hard I presume)
- Before that, I need a new 42' LCD with full HD (Gores & menang aka credit card)
- Finished repairing my car after a mishap (definitely put a hole inside my pocket)
- Finished servicing my beloved bike (Honestly speaking, I'm proud to do it myself..hehe)
- Traveling, the thing that I loved most > November, 2009: Taipeh, Taiwan
Januari, 2010: Bali, Indonesia
July, 2010: Melbourne, Australia (It's going to be a
winter holiday)

Yaaaa, I just recovered from an accident involving... myself. Why??? I just underestimate my car performance and handling. Hrmmm, I bet the worst is yet to come.

Just got a second opinion from Kak Mi and I could not agree more with her regarding the 'issue'. Sometimes, it's better to consult the 'ladies' instead of the men with it comes to problems relating relationship. So, I guess I should take the other side of the road and do not interfere with it. "Must try to avoid any unnecessary 'contact'" said Kak Mi with a stern look from her face. Haha, yup Kak Mi, will do.

Out of The Blue

Got an e-mail from someone really, really unexpected this morning. It's from 'her'. Been 8 years since we last meet and then, all of a sudden a mail. I've just had a conversation regarding 'her' with Jaafar two days ago on how I missed her and how thing ended plus me moving on with my life and now this...

All that I knows, she's already engaged to someone that I didn't know (that's a relief).
All that I need to do is to confront her again. I still remember what Leo used to say to me...

If you say it to her you have 99% rate of failure but at least 1% rate of success BUT
if you didn't say anything to her, then you're for sure going to fail 100%.
Regardless of what you did, at least you should try and you will not lose anything (because you already lose her, hahaha).

Last night, I watched the final episode of that Japanese drama again, and it really hit me hard every time I watched it...

the raindrop seems to be nothing special, i forgot how the cloud look like today, how funny it was-the comics, anime and the movies, never again at night to watch the moon and the stars. i do think somehow, i totally forgot how fun life could be...have you?

Yup, it happen to me too. Nowadays, my life is just ain't like the way it used to be. No more waking up late in the morning. No more strolling or wandering around aimlessly in a foreign place while snapping pictures. No more free time to do what I loved most to do (including blogging). No more tossing endless pile of pancakes. No more bumping with strange peoples with my strange bike. And the list will goes on and on and on. 
But apart from that, we should know that our life should start somewhere, right? Eventhough that we almost 'lost' all of the fun stuff when we were students, all least we still have fond memories of it, right? Something that we can treasure for years to come.
Something that will make us a better person in the future (hopefully)...

Backtracking - My 'Last' Night In Melbourne

Celebrating the New Year Eve plus spending my 'last' night here in Melbourne since I'm heading 'home' the following day. This is actually my second time enjoying the new year celebration in here.

Fireworks galore. Still the same but this time around I got my mom with me. Rather than spending the whole night in the house doing nothing, might as well spend some quality time together with her (Now, we hardly got the chances to talk or even meet . Note to myself - Need to go home more often).

Before that, I treated her to an Italian restaurant somewhere in Camberwell. I always talk about that restaurant to my sister but still, I didn't managed to bring her there.

What I noticed about the celebrations here in Melbourne when compared to the one in Malaysia is the crowd. Here, it's always about spending the time with the family, enjoying the firework display together with the loved one (no matter young or old), bringing foods from home (more like a picnic) whereas in Malaysia, only the young/teenagers/couples occupied the whole area doing nothing but just making noises plus not forgetting littering the whole area.

1st of January 2009, supposed to be the day that I leave Melbourne but unfortunately, my flight got delayed for more than 11 hours and luckily Air Asia provide us with a place to stay while waiting for the aircraft to be ready.

Nothing much to do in here but watching the TV. I tried to stay awake as much as possible so that I can sleep during my entire journey home (Wise decision).

P/s I'm off to Lumut in a short while.

A Day In Sabah

First Visit To East Malaysia

I've been spending most of my life here in Malaysia but sad to say, this is my first time to east Malaysia or Sabah, to be precise.

If the company does not send me here to work, I'm definitely sure it's going to be a very, very long time before I can set my foot here, on my own, that is.

A Day In Penang

Ouchhh, I scratched my sister car. It's not my fault but some crazy Penang driver did it.
Luckily it is not too visible but I still need to sent it to the workshop to do some minor 'touch up'.

Last Day in Pondok Cabe

I'm supposed to stay there till the job is done but there is some other job still pending back in Kuala Lumpur. So, they cut short my trip in here.

Waiting for my plane. One thing good in here is that the foods are super-duper cheap. Just eat till your heart content.

Not a good view from here but I got the seat near the emergency door (more legroom), so no complaining from me.

'Makan' time again. I'm definitely accumulating weight day by day.

Nothing much to say but in here (Jakarta), for every half an hour, various type of peoples will come and sell stuff right in front of the doorstep ranging from vegetables seller, mee goreng seller complete with their portable gas cooker plus wok, cobbler, dry or wet food sellers, anything, just name it can be bought without leaving the house. Talk about convenience.

Driving In Jakarta

There is even a Giant hypermarket here in Jakarta, talk about Malaysian achievement.

Most of the roads in Jakarta looked like this (minus the on in the city).

'Macet total'. This is what I've to endure every single day when I'm off to work and back.

For a 17 km journey, it took us nearly an hour to get there.

The way the peoples drive and ride in here are really different when compared to peoples in Malaysia or Australia but by now I got used to it already.

The vehicle, a Kia Caren with a 1.8 litre engine and comes with a manual transmission, sweet (I loves driving manual car).

P/s Better to lay low, it's not the right time yet...

Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Commission (KNKT) have arrived at Pondok Cabe airfield in Tangerang to investigate the helicopter crash that killed two technicians earlier Thursday. The crash site, located in front of Pelita Air's service hangar, was cordoned off and under police guard. Journalists were not allowed to enter the area. The bodies of the victims, Ahmad Suparja (25) and Sri Setyobudi (42) were taken to Fatmawati Hospital in South Jakarta. The pilot of the twin engine Super-Puma helicopter, Rohman Hadi (50), and a technician who was inside the chopper, HM Hardi (52), survived, but were still suffering from shock. South Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Chairul Anwar said at the crash site the police had yet to figure out the chronology of the incident. "What we know so far is they were doing a routine maintenance check. They started up the engine and the pilot began to lift the chopper when it suddenly collapsed," Chairul told journalists, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com. I was there when it happen. I heard a loud 'bang' and then suddenly there was a commotion.

I saw peoples running outside shouting "Super Puma jatuh, Super Puma jatuh"
This is the furthest that I can go. I really am not brave enough to go any further.

The main rotor blade of the helicopter slices into the two technicians situated nearby. You can see clearly the bodies of the two of them. One of them is decapitated and the head flung almost 100m from the accident location.

Not sure who this is but later on some minister show up to know the matter first hand.

The area is being cordon until further notices.

Patience is a virtue because it makes us better people. The definition of the word is to tolerate delay. This implies self control and forbearance as opposed to wanting what we want when we want it. How many times have we jumped the gun and found out it it would have been better to tolerate delay or had self control? What did we miss out on? Did we hurt someone because of lack of patience? Did our lives just change completely just because we couldn't control ourselves? Patience is not only a virtue but a necessity for a happy existence.

Been in Jakarta for more than a week and all that I can say is that I'm beginning to love my country more despite some minor hiccups here and there. The cost of living, foods, necessity are really cheap in here but despite of that, I'm starting to get some headache when I'm trying to do my job properly in there. Too many red tape needed before anything goes through. Now, I'm back in KL to do some desk job while trying to solve some problems that occurred while I'm gone. Hrmmm.

All In A Day's Work

Now, I can start blogging again properly. Yesterday there were a presentation plus training session for the MALCON 4 that is scheduled to depart to Lebanon this April for peacekeeping duty. Since they are new with the 'equipment', we have been told to train them properly since they will be using the equipment extensively and need to make sure that by end of the day, all of them can operate the equipment flawlessly themselves. Hope all goes well for them and may Allah be there for them, always.

It's been a while since I last blogged. Been busy with traveling, moving out (not entirely, I still got my bike there), traveling again and now working in a new environment. How does it feel to be home??? IT FEEL GREATTTTTTT... and right now I'm enjoying every moment of it.

At first, I was supposed to work there, not in Melbourne but in Sydney instead but a twist of event made it possible for me to 'not work in there' but I will still liaise with the company over there plus traveling extensively to SEA regions.

Used to be in a foreign land but not anymore.

Countdown to graduation - 2 more days. My feeling right now??? Mixed feeling. Joy, happy and sad. It is true that all journey must come to an end and so does mine but to tell you the truth, I wasn't prepare for it at all. It is too sudden but as for me, I should be looking forward for it and start thinking about the future now. I always say this, "I'm not getting any younger "and thus, I should start building my career as soon as possible. Now, I got something to jump start my career and it should begin soon. Sooner that what I would expected but for me, it is a bliss.

That is what said in the travel brochure and that is among the reason why I really wanted to go there.

Back & Forth

First and foremost, my deepest condolences to all of the family that are affected by the massive landslide that happen in Bukit Antarabangsa last week and also I would like to thank everyone who called and messaged me regarding it especially Fatin, Zam/Lin, Inur, Aini, and the rest of it. Alhamdullilah, my house is not affected. Apart from that incident, a lot of things has happen for the past two weeks time. Reconciliation, tough decission, tendered my resignation at Pancake Parlour and the most important thing is, I've embarked on a new journey all the way to Brisbane from Melbourne, driving. Yup, that's 2,500km of driving to be exact and it is only one way.

Melbourne - Canberra - Sydney - Tuntable Creek - Brisbane - Gold Coast - Melbourne

Day 1 -Melbourne. We are planning to cover 4 states in 6 days. Victoria, ACT (Australia Capital Teritory), New South Wales and finally Queensland.

Day 1 - NSW. First stop, Halbrook, the town with the infamous Oberon class submarine. At first, it is quite weird to have this full scale submarine in a middle of nowhere (the nearest seaport is located 400km away) but there is an interesting story behind it and I will tell about it later on.

Day 1 - ACT. Canberra, there's nothing much to do in this city except visiting the Parliment House.

Day 1 - ACT. Really resemble Putrajaya back home.

Day 2 - NSW. Next stop, Sydney and this time around it is Eidul Adha.

Day 2 - NSW. The city at night.

Day 2 - NSW. Opera House. The visit to Sydney won't be complete without visiting this place at least once.

Day 3 - NSW. On our way to my Auntie's place in Tuntable Creek. At first, we decided to spend the night in Sydney but during the last minutes, we changed our mind and opted to straight away drive there (It took us nearly 12 hours of driving plus some rest to get there). Notice something handy??? Yup, that's my GPS over there. Really reliable.

Day 3 - NSW. Finally we are here. Just 45 minutes from Lismore.

Day 4 - Queensland. Brisbane, we really underestimate this city. It is bigger that what we had thought before.

Day 4 - Queensland. Southbank, a nice place to unwind.

Day 5 - Queensland. A trip to Movie World. Felt like a kid again.

Day 6 - Queensland. This time around, we took a flight home. One way of driving is hard enough but to return to Melbourne driving??? It would be suicidal.

Another Trip Another Adventure

It's been nearly 2 months since my last trip to Tasmania and now I'm itching for another adventure. My breakaway/end of uni life trip will commence next week and I could hardly wait for it. Apart from the trip, something unexpected happen last night (Saturday night), I've been told by Bec that I've passed my cook test. To tell you the truth, I think I really didn't deserve to pass. I'm still not good or lousy at it especially when there's heap of order and I tend to lost my composure during that time. But I should be thankful to them for entrusting me and now it will become harder for me to quit (the thought of quitting has been running in my mind for the last couple of days - and now I need to postpone it for a while). Alright, I'll give it another 2 more months and hopefully I can endure it.

The second time for the week. Fortunately I'm was not riding my bike when it happen, lucky me. Sometimes, the weather here can be really unpredictable. From clear skies to rain can happen in just minutes, there's not even any sign that shows it's going to rain such as dark cloud or strong wind whatsoever.

It's still not over yet. I've just received a phone call from my supervisor yesterday asking me to prepare a journal based on my report so that he can publish it. What??? Arghhhhh, tensen, tensen, plus sakit jiwa. All that I want is just to pass this subject. Why do i need to do all of this unnecessary thing. This extra burden. Unfortunately i can't say no, it's hard to decline it. Not when my report haven't been marked yet. Memang paksa rela la jawabnya. He's going to use my report for a presentation in a conference somewhere in Bahrain next year and I've been given 2 weeks to finish it. Gila aper. there goes my short-lived freedom. All that I can do when we met just now is 'senyum macam kerang busuk ajer'. Yes, I can do that. Yes, I know that it's good for my future (unless if I'm going into the academic line but if not, my published journal won't do much to help me in the real life because I think my final report is sufficient). Hopefully, there are no more obstacles waiting for me in the near future. Now, I'm back to my drawing board again. Sigh. Ganbatte kudasai.

Something interesting happen on that day. It's my dad birthday. Furthermore, on that historic day, I lost my way out or should I say, I couldn't remember where I parked my car. We spend nearly an hour or two looking from floor to floor until finally we end up asking the security guard for help. The funny thing was, the car is located just beside the place where we stand while waiting for the security guard to search for it. He just smiled when he finally found the car. Duhhhhhh, next time, I should use my mobile and take picture of the place location whatsoever.

Now, I'm technically finished with my study and I'm now counting the day for my graduation, which should take place in the middle of next month. In the first place, I really don't know why I did it. Quitting my job, risking my life and gamble my future on it. Everyone were skeptical when I first voiced out about my intention to further my study. I've even been given the cold shoulder. But that really doesn't stop me from doing it. Haha, look who's laughing now. I'm really glad that I went for it. It's really hard to describe my feeling right now. Joy, satisfaction, relieve, happy, excited, sad, all in one place. So now, an end to a new beginning...

At first, I'm running away FROM something but not anymore, now, I'm running TOWARD something...

Last week, I did mentioned that I borrowed a drama from a friend and guess what I did???
I spend the whole day watching that drama. From 12PM till 11PM. Such a crazy feat.

Just one episode, that what I've thought but then, it glued me to my seat. Never realized that time flies during that time when all I wants to do is just to know the ending for the drama. So, that is how I ended up watching the whole drama for 11 crazy hours.

Haha, now I'm stuck with this new drama.

- Got back my draft report from my supervisor and I need to make a few adjustment and correction on it (It ain't over till it's really over)
- Borrow a new Japanese drama (a whole set - a good way to waste my not so precious time)
- Shopping some groceries (A reminder to myself, it's better NOT to take the groceries home by bike. Haha, I nearly tumble because it's hard to balance the bike. A good enough reason to upgrade to car)
- Servicing my bike. Something happen to it and I guess my bike is falling apart day by day. Need to give more TLC to it.
- Planning on a trip to... (Somewhere far) but before that, I'm going camping at the outback for 3 days and 2 nights (hope so).

P/s It's raining outside and I'm too lazy to do anything. But now I'm highly motivated (Haha, really contradict my first statement), only now can I see the light at the end of the tunnel/journey.

P/s Submitted my first draft for my master's report and all I need to do now is just wait till Thursday for the feedback and then submit the final one on the following day (Arghhh, had to pay AUD10 for a mere comb binding).

The place wont be the same without you guys but maybe this is the time of the year when everyone's starting to move to a greener pastures. Melbourne International Motorcycle Show. My second time here. This is the only time when everyone got the opportunities to have a closer glimpse at their dream machines, me included. Lots of new model are displayed apart from the usual MotoGP's bike. This exhibition ran back to back with the Armageddon Expo and that is among the reason why I end up wasting my whole weekend drooling around these place.

The Doctor's bike. He didn't won with this bike though.

Pedrosa's bike. Got his name engraved on the front tyre.

A gixxer. All tuned up and ready for race.

Based on the K8 series. Simply magnificent.

This is not a screening of a new movie whatsoever. It just happen that Mick need a helping hand since his friend couldn't make it to the Armageddon Expo. So, without any hesitation, I'm now his unofficial photographer. To tell you the truth, it's hard to be a photographer actually (now I know). Before this, I've always shoot pictures of scenery, static objects and animals to name a few but when it comes to live model such this, I'm a bit awkward. I've never done it before (no experiences at all) plus the lighting in the building is not good enough and eventually I really struggle to set the camera properly. But because of that, now I got to know my camera /lenses capabilities and limitations. Ok, now, lets enjoy the... errrr movie.

Armageddon Expo, an expo about comics, anime, movies, wrestling and cosplay. I've never been to a cosplay event before so I was really looking forward for it and I really wasn't dissapointed with it. Cool, lively, sweet, weird, funny (just named it) characters, can be found here. By the way, I really didn't do any assignment this weekend. Just wasting my time with events like this. But a famous quote used to say that, "All work and no play make Jack a dull boy". True enough. Enjoy.

I've been staying at home for the past few days without going anywhere. Good for my studies but definitely not good for my brain. So, without any hesitation I just grab my camera's bag and my bike's key and off I go to St. Kilda beach to get some fresh air. It's a windy day so no wonder some of the guys there are having fun by playing para-surfing.

My place - I used to be addicted to these sort of 'energy drinks' when I'm stressed with extra workload. A fast, easy and reliable source of caffeine but unfortunately it's not good for my health and because of that I've already stopped taking it. The solutions??? Managed to sort everything and my life is back to normal again.

Eza's place - Nescafe? Not my cup of tea or should i say Nescafe? She just moved in to a new place which is just a walking distance to uni (2 minutes of walking to be exact - I really envy her, whereas it took me nearly half an hour to get there... by bike).

P/s Healthy lifestyle. No more caffeine for me and I need to start jogging again, starting tomorrow. I hope.

First and foremost, I would like to share or embedded this video in my blog as something for me to remember. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw this advertisement on Channel 9 (during prime time, mind you) and the first thing that ran in my mind during that time are "Since when did I stayed near the Thailand border??? Naper tetiba pulak ada channel Siam nie???". I did tried checking my TV but everything seems to be just fine till I realised that the video is just a new advertisement of Dunlop's new shoes, the Volleys. I couldn't stop laughing afterward. To see these kind of advertisement, especially here in Melbourne is something really, really weird. Talk about creativity. The Australian really know how to lighten up.

I still remember playing a video games titled Resident Evil for PS1 13 years ago. During that time it was the scariest games I've ever played and I will only play it during the day while being accompanied by my brother. It sure was scary and gave me a lot of heart attack back then. But that was the good old days but something really brings back that fond memories when I visited the Werribee Mansion.

The infamous mansion, still regarded as the largest private residence in Victoria.

The mansion was built between 1874 and 1877 in the ideal of an English country estate, complete with blacksmith, laundrette, farmyard and manicured gardens.

A Day At The Farm - Part 2

Nothing is free here, I've to pay $2 for the entrance fee but it's really worth it.

Lots of free food tasting but unfortunately it's Ramadhan so, got to wait till next month before I can come here again.

Everything here are 'organic' from tomatoes to oranges to bla bla bla...

Spending the time here with family is highly recommended.

Grow your own stuff. I used to have a strawberry plant by my kitchen's window but unfortunately the wind blew it away.

A Gift From A Fellow Friend

Last Night

Back from work and I'm damn tired. I finished an hour late. Why all of the sudden I always being left working alone in the kitchen??? Yaa yaa, I know that with great 'knowledge' comes great responsibilities but I'm still under training. I haven't passed my cook test yet. Lucky Steve were around to lend me a helping hand. Very unusual of him indeed. Hoho, last night I trained one newcomer (I think her name was Brig) so after this I got one new protégé to bully, opss I meant to teach.

Last night was Darcy last shift here at Pancake Parlour. Everyone's going to miss him for sure. The place won't be the same without him though (Darcy & Spencer, yup they're twins).

Puffing Billy

This is my second trip with IDP Melbourne. This time around we're going to a train ride called 'Puffing Billy' in the Dandenong Ranges. Surely this is among one of my unforgettable experiences here in Melbourne.

Into The Wilderness

Werribee Open Range Zoo. A new type of zoo where we can hop in a modified bus/vehicle to travel along the vast land occupied with wild animals from different parts of the world. A very bumpy ride indeed but it sure was fun.

Yeah, why travel thousands of miles when a taste of African adventure is at your doorstep - The Zoo's motto.

I've gotten myself a PSP.

An additional 4GB of MSPD stick.

The reason I got myself a PSP.

And the reason for the excessive use of the internet. I've downloaded a chock-full of games from the internet (this one is a modded PSP, so, there is no need to use the designated UMD).

P/s So many games to download now yet so little time to play.

Back To Normal

As from this month onward, my internet connection are back to normal. The reason for the slowdown previously was due to the usage exceeding the limit allowance given during the peak time of only 20GB. My mistake because I've never bothered to check my daily usage of it till this problem arise during the middle of August, last month. It was really a painstaking experience since the connection will automatically changed to a mere 256KB/s once we exceeded the limit. Talk about slow.
Interesting point here is I've never really fully utilized the off-peak period of 40GB before and it is really a waste (since I'm paying quite a handsome monthly fee for it).
Lucky to those who are using Streamyx in Malaysia since they do not have any limit for their monthly usage.
Why this things happen??? There are two reasons for the excessive usage of the internet last month and I'll explain it later (this entree also act as a reminder to me to ALWAYS monitor my daily usage).

I've exceeded the given limit of 20GB during the peak period.

Since I'm a bit stressed with my work, studies, assignments, projects, etcetera, etcetera & etcetera, I really need my time out so here I am at a zoo again but this time around, I'm not at Melbourne Zoo but at Werribee Zoo instead. Nearly 1 1/2 hours of riding (can't use the freeway so need to use the trunk road as an alternative).
Guess what I bumped into??? Yes, these adorable Meerkats. Watching these guys in action really make me smile.

Cooking Time

I'm cooking this time around. A mountain of sambal udang to go with the rice (waktu berbuka, it's not during lunch time yer).

Last prawn standing (yaa, I tend to play with my foods).

All peeled up, cooked and just waiting to be eaten but got to defrost it first. It took me just 15 minutes to prepare everything and the satisfaction of eating my own cooking is simply - priceless (for someone who is 'rarely' cook at home).

P/s Lucky I didn't get any stomach discomfort after eating it.

Merdeka in Melbourne

This event was supposed to be held last year with the conjunction of Malaysia 50th independent but under unforeseen circumstances it was delayed till this year.

As always, everyones favourite, Manbai - Kau Ilhamku.

This happen on Sunday, a day before Ramadhan and during that time I'm on my way to Footscray to buy some groceries as a preparation for fasting.

'Make your own burger patties - just add minced beef (and some extra spices too)'. Hoho, I'm making myself a quarter pounder or better make it half pounder, double the size of the infamous McD's Quarter Pounder Burger.

Looking at it made me felt hungry again.

P/s Need to prepare more beef patties as a preparation for fasting this Ramadhan. Bersahur with a humongous burger. That should last for the whole day. I hope...

Free Foods

- Selamat menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan yang ke-51 di Malaysia (it is a public holiday in there).
- First day of spring.

- Internet connection are back to normal again.

As usual, the best things in life are free. If there's a crowd, it's must be because of the free foods. So, just follow the crowd.

While strolling around in Prahran yesterday, I stumbled into a gadget that really made me paused for a second, an iPhone 3G with 16Gig of memory with a price that simply hard to resist (at a secondhand shop but the phone is still in pristine condition).
To buy or not to buy? That's the question that I keep asking myself back then. Fortunately, reality bites back and after a deep thought, I decided to give it a miss. There goes my saving if I bought it and furthermore I don't think it is a necessity. I'm still satisfy with my current mobile and I really don't think it is wise for me to buy the iPhone now. Maybe later on when I secured a more suitable job then I will opt for one but definitely not now.

iPhone arrives with factory worker's photos

A British buyer of Apple's iPhone was surprised to discover his new phone's camera already contained photos - apparently taken in the Chinese factory where it was made.

The pictures showed a woman of Asian appearance, dressed in factory clean room garments, smiling and gesturing in front of other partially-assembled iPhones.

iPhones are manufactured in China by Foxconn.

The iPhone user provided the pictures to the Apple fan website macrumors.com under the screen name "markm49uk".

"Once it had been activated on iTunes I found that the home screen already had a photo set against it," markm49uk wrote.

"It would appear that someone on the production line was having a bit of fun."

A tribute website dedicated to the woman in the photos has appeared at iphonegirl.net.

P/s I nearly lost my mobile back then while I was snowboarding (more like tumbling down the hill) at Mount Buller, made me appreciate it more after that incident.

A Beemer Fan

Nik. He is really and ardent fan of Beemer. From clothing to lid and to his bike, everything got to be a beemer.

BMW R1200 GS, yup a 1200cc bike. Bigger engine capacity than most compact car available.
"Care to ride???" he asked me and I declined the offer straight away. It is a new bike, it is really an expensive one and I've never ridden a bike with engine capacity bigger than 750cc.

She's really a monster compared to the other bikes around it.

This is really something to motivate me to work harder (ya, I want a new bike too).

P/s I don't know whether to laugh or not. I got a beemer too. It's been handed down to me if I go back...

BBQ By The Yarra River

The best way to spend the weekend is having a BBQ picnic by the infamous Yarra River.

This time around, we're celebrating Lyn final week here in Melbourne. She already finished her study and she is now counting her days to go back home.

Meet Karim - The Hall New Caretaker

I used to stay here for quite awhile while waiting to find a permanent place to stay. Actually I did bluffed the warden saying that I would prefer to stay there as a 'Hall Resident' (during that time they're short of guys to do all of the hard works).

I did have my fair share of experience here including weird one. During the first week of staying here, certain 'extra paranormal' things happen to some fellow resident (lucky it was not me) and as a countermeasure the warden held 'Yassin' recitation every night and invited one young 'ustaz' to do some 'cleaning' (with salt & pepper). As for me, the first things that ran in my mind are "What??? Here in Melbourne??? I though in here there is no such thing as gh**t" Haha, after that incident, it really gave me goosebumps everytime I ventured the hall alone.

This place used to be an old hospital for the elderly before the Malaysian Government took over (I'm not sure about this fact) and no wonder if there's some weird thing happening late at night. Wait till you see the laundry room (there is a small door that leads to the basement of the building and also a secret passage to an unknown place and the door to it has been locked to avoid any untoward incidents). The 'ustaz' did say something like "Ermm, kat sini memang 'kuat' skit dari tempat lain, cuba kurang kan berada kat sini". Duhhhh, I'm outta here... Haha...

This is Karim, the new hall's caretaker. Since all of the current residents need to vacate the place due to some renovation (except for 2 peoples) taking places, the warden decided to 'hire' another 'person' who knows no fear to safeguard the hall during the night.
The reasons - Since most of the time the building is left unattended (you know what happen to building that is being left unattended right), might as well put something to 'cheer' the place up.

P/s Till now, the mysteries of the second floor remains unsolved. I think the problems can be avoided if 'they' allowed more 'guest' to stay and make the place more lively than letting the upper floor vacate... Just my 2 cents.
