Leaving

Yup, everyone is leaving Pancake Parlour. Starting from Steve (went back to Ireland), Joey (working in TGIF), Darcy (same place with Joey), Nelson (holiday in Bali), Adrian (went back to Malaysia), Meera (back to Singapore) and the latest, Sarah (had enough of pancakes - I guess). The place wont be the same without you guys but maybe this is the time of the year when everyone's starting to move to a greener pastures. Now I'm stuck with the usual 'crowd' but luckily today I got a new helper from Surabaya, Lulu. Too bad Lulu, I'm leaving too so next time, you're on your own.

Last Night

Back from work and I'm damn tired. I finished an hour late. Why all of the sudden I always being left working alone in the kitchen??? Yaa yaa, I know that with great 'knowledge' comes great responsibilities but I'm still under training. I haven't passed my cook test yet. Lucky Steve were around to lend me a helping hand. Very unusual of him indeed. Hoho, last night I trained one newcomer (I think her name was Brig) so after this I got one new protégé to bully, opss I meant to teach.

Last night was Darcy last shift here at Pancake Parlour. Everyone's going to miss him for sure. The place won't be the same without him though (Darcy & Spencer, yup they're twins).
Note to myself - Farewell party with 'Doodly Doo' this coming Monday at Strike Bowling Centre

Good news & bad news

Lets start with the good news first... I got my tax return back. Yayyy... Its not much but it is better than nothing. The system here is really efficient. I got it in just within a week. Talk about fast. Then the bad news, Matt is quitting his job. He is going to a trip to Europe and not sure when he will be back. Yup, I will missed his crazy antic though. Then the next day, Nicky approached me and said that she's leaving as well. Not now but another 2 weeks time. What??? I'm definitely going to miss her too. She is like the best boss/manager a person could ever have. "Why??? Are you being transferred to other places???", I asked her and she replied that she just want to have a rest. "It's been 11 years already and I need a break". Ermm, wishing you all the best. Yeah, I'm leaving too... but not now... Just have to wait for the right time... Cheers...

P/s Like usual, I hate working with 'him'... His working ethic really irritates me... Please put your personal problems aside once you start working. Be professional eventhough we are working in just a restaurant... During my way home, I saw a group of drunk peoples in front of me, since it was dark, i didn't noticed that it was them... Shit, stuck with them for awhile...

Birthday bash...

Tetiba dapat phone call dari Leo, dia jemput join celebrate birthday anak dia yang ke-4... Ada ker suruh datang rumah dia 'on the spot'. "Why didn't you tell me earlier, at least i can buy her a present or something"...pastu dia jawab, "I purposely tell you now because i don't want you to spent your money on her. Your presence there for me, i considered it as a present for her"... Yorrla tuuu (nasib baik dia tak faham bahasa melayu)...Wokey, just give me 20 minutes to reach there. We went to an Italian Restaurant in Camberwell with his partner, daughter and their best friend, Ming...

Aisey, si Leo ni gie pejam mata la pulak. Dora with her daughter, Chi (Anak dia tu malu2 ajer). Cute anak dia orang...huhu, yang baju itam tu pun cute jugak kan (ya ampunnn)...

Daripada normal discussion tetiba bertukar pulak kepada 'heated argument' between Ming & Leo...huhu, it is all because of me...Saja tanya opinion Ming pasal protest from the Tibetan all around the world regarding the current issues in Tibet (Even though they have been here for 7 years, semangat cintakan negara tu still ada). Ming bagi opinion dia yang pro China tapi si Leo nie pulak kasik yang sebalik nya...Aduiii, tensen guer sekejap... from Dalai Lama to Falun Gong Cult to Qing Dynasty to Silk Road to Beijing Olympic...bertekak ajer dia orang... masing-masing tak nak kalah...i did 'kuis' Leo suruh dia stop arguing...Kasi ajer la Ming tu menang tapi mamat nie tak faham2 la pulak...In the end, terpaksa la mencelah..."Errr, lets change to other topic...for this issues, different people have their own opinion..it's very subjective or lets enjoy our foods...it's getting cold you know"... Haha, that should do the trick...

Try to guess what this is??? Huhu, it is a Seafood PANCAKE... no, not pancake again but this pancake is highly recommended by Leo. Hrmm, suggestion from a guy that hate pancake... Pasti sedap and indeed it is... Lagi sedap dari Pancake Parlour.

Sofia Restaurant...the place you should come if you want to try one of the best Seafood Pancake in Melbourne. Tengok gambar pakcik tu, senyum ajer...haha...

P/s Happy birthday Chiiiii... I will definitely buy you a present yerrrr and thanks Dora for the lovely dinner. I'm really honoured...

All in a day's work...

Need to go to Mornington early in the morning. Huhu, the journey took me 1 1/2 hours of traveling (one way yer) and the meeting lasted for just 15 minutes only... Haha, fortunately i loves to travel...so memang tak kisah sangat...
Then, i need to rush back because i need to prepare myself to go to work. This time around, i would like to share with you guys the route that i usually use to get there. Only 30 minutes walking.

Haha, it's been quite some times since i last played it...
(teringat kejadian kat Lumut dulu, me & my friend ada nampak sorang pakcik nie tengah main buaian tengah malam dan bila dia nampak kami...dia cakap "jom join, siang masa budak2 main, tapi bila malam masa bapak budak pulak...haha, guess what??? kita orang pun join skali pakcik tu)

My dinner... Buttermilk pancakes, whipped cream, maple syrup and cinnamon sugar plus coffee with an extra dose of choc's powder...(macam maner tak makan nasi, asyik belasah pancake ajer hari-hari...huhu)

There goes the diet

Baru ajer nak start diet, then my manager said to me that i can have whatever there is inside the menu for my break...Hrmm, usually dapat 2 keping pancake with butter & maple syrup ajer, but this time around mood dia ok la pulak. I did asked him why for this special treatment...Aper yang dia jawab..."because all of us love you"!!!!!!???? Lantaklah labu, orang nak suruh makan...makan ajerla. So for this time around, i asked for Jamaican Banana with Walnut Pancake...Haiyooo, dah 4 hari berturut-turut dinner makan pancake ajer...Nak kena cari nasi gak nie...

Golden fried banana, sweeten walnut bits, dribbling with sweet maple syrup, dusted with cinnamon and served with whipped cream plus ice-cream on two buttermilk pancakes.

Succulent, sweet strawberries, dusted with icing sugar, served with ice-cream on two buttermilk pancakes (Huhu, next time nak kena try this pancake pulak).

A chocolate pancake with ice-cream, sweet cherries, chocolate flakes and hot chocolate fudge (Nie pun best...i really love chocolates).
