Another Trip Another Adventure

It's been nearly 2 months since my last trip to Tasmania and now I'm itching for another adventure. My breakaway/end of uni life trip will commence next week and I could hardly wait for it. Apart from the trip, something unexpected happen last night (Saturday night), I've been told by Bec that I've passed my cook test. To tell you the truth, I think I really didn't deserve to pass. I'm still not good or lousy at it especially when there's heap of order and I tend to lost my composure during that time. But I should be thankful to them for entrusting me and now it will become harder for me to quit (the thought of quitting has been running in my mind for the last couple of days - and now I need to postpone it for a while). Alright, I'll give it another 2 more months and hopefully I can endure it.

Hobart Airport. On my way back from Tasmania.

IMGP1690_3008x2000
Reminisce of the old times. I used to study aviation back then.

IMGP1694_3008x2000
Men at work. Come rain or shine, the jobs have to be done.

IMGP1704_3008x2000
As always, window's seat is a must.

IMGP1717_3008x2000
Serenity.

IMGP1720_2000x3008
Looks like toys from above.

IMGP1723_2000x3008
Nearly there.

Now I'm planning for a trip somewhere in the northern part of Australia.
Just wait fot the updates.

I Can't Get Over It

IMGP9656_3008x2000
Yeah, you heard it right. My foots are aching to play snowboard again.

IMGP9675_3008x2000
Riding the ski lift, feeling the cold breeze passing my face, viewing the crowds from above, I missed those moments.

IMGP9660_3008x2000
Not forgetting, chatting with fellow passenger asking from tips (to kill our time while riding the ski lift).

IMGP9672_3008x2000
Nice weather and lots of peoples. Really colourful.

IMGP9657_3008x2000
As far as the eyes can see.

IMGP9646_3008x2000
Learning how to snowboard from afar. I didn't enroll for that class so while capturing pictures, I couldn't help but to eavesdrop.

IMGP9687_3008x2000
Thick snow compared than last time.

IMGP9693_3008x2000
Nearly time to go home.

IMGP9704_3008x2000
As much as I love snowboarding, it is actually an expensive sport to play.

P/s My internet connection got problem now.

I'm Improving, I think So.

IMGP9654_3008x2000
Mount Buller. This time around, it's not snowing.

IMGP9667_3008x2000
My all time favourite winter activity, snowboarding.

IMGP9630_3008x2000
Nothing beats learning hands on compared than learning how to snowboard through the internet.

P/s Better than last winter. Now I know how to properly stop and descending steep slop. Yayyy...

The Great Escape - Phillip Island

IMGP6259_3008x2000
The journey to Phillip Island is something that I'll definitely remember for the rest of my life. I've been riding for quite some time now and nothing prepared me for this... The wind...
I've overlooked on that particular thing. Despite the sun shine brightly on that faithful day, the wind seems to be not that friendly. I've numerously been thrown away by it.

IMGP6284_3008x2000
No wonder that I did not see any other rider besides me.

IMGP6307_3008x2000
As usual, the first stop should be the Information Centre.

IMGP6320_3008x2000
The sands of time.

IMGP6332_3008x2000
What with the foam???

IMGP6352_3008x2000
Windy day.

IMGP6356_3008x2000
I can see a complete rainbow from here. Too bad I couldn't fully capture it on my camera.

IMGP6384_3008x2000
The earth, the sea, the sky...

IMGP6393_3008x2000
We can get really nice view from that benches.

IMGP6398_3008x2000
As usual, just me & my bike.

IMGP6405_3008x2000
Breathtaking view.

IMGP6444_3008x2000
Speechless.

IMGP6406_3008x2000
Home of the seals.

IMGP6451_3008x2000
Fierce wind and rough sea.

IMGP6482_3008x2000
The day the sea turns white...

IMGP6502_3008x2000
Another rainbow.

IMGP6521_3008x2000
Izzy & The Chocolate Factory.

IMGP6524_3008x2000
The bridge that connect between Phillip Island and the mainland.

P/s Nearly 4 hours of riding and that for one way only. During my way back, it rains...
Today??? I went to Werribee. Great place indeed.

The Great Escape - Fort Nepean

As usual, when I'm bored and there is nothing particular in my mind to do, the best way to fill up my time is to travel. This time around, Point Nepean National Park is the set destination. Nearly 3 hours of 'non-stop riding' (actually I stopped for lunch in Frankston) and finally here I am again at the Mornington Peninsular. Actually, this is my second time here as well but during my first visit the park were already closed. At first I planned to stay here for just a short while but then I realised that the park was really 'huge' and it would be a waste of effort if I didn't fully explore the whole area. I end-up staying here for more than 4 hours and still wanting more. Time really flies fast and unfortunately I had to board the last 'Transporter'. Here, I learned a lot about the history of WWI & WWII and the significant of modern warfare.
Some interesting info about this place is that it is just opened to the public in 1988 after being out of bounds to most people for more than 100 years. It still has an air of mystery.

IMG_7514_2816x1880
What does this mean???

IMG_7524_2816x1880
The deserted bunker. As we can see, there is a ship entering Port Phillips Bay and this is the only route to enter or leave the bay.

IMG_7585_2816x1880
Only the transporter is allowed. Wait till you see the 'Transporter'.

IMG_7593_2816x1880
This fortress survived World War I and II.

IMG_7552_2816x1880
Kind of creepy venturing inside this fortress alone. But it sure is fun.

IMG_7557_2816x1880
Reminiscent of old time.

IMG_7541_2816x1880
The Allies used this fortified fortress to defend against any invading Axis. This place used to have huge cannon/artillery.

IMG_7554_2816x1880
"Hello..."

IMG_7592_2816x1880
Restricted area. The only modern equipments that are still around.

IMG_7600_2816x1880
Ruins from the Cattle Jetty, built in 1879.

IMG_7564_2816x1880
En route...

IMG_7612_2816x1880
I'm not lost...

IMG_7617_2816x1880
Yeah right...

IMG_7622_2816x1880
The so called 'The Transport'. Only this thing is allowed to go to Fort Nepean. Either by that thing or walk for more than 6 km. Bumpy ride indeed and the Park Ranger was very helpful.

IMG_7636_2816x1880
'London Bridge'... An artist's expression.

P/s Hrmmm, something interesting happen today...
